Banner Housing are responsible for any structural , Electrical and plumbing repairs. Any addition requests are the responsibility of the tenant. We are not responsible for interior decoration or touch ups. Please view the tenant handbook for a detailed account of responsibilities.

It is a condition of your tenancy agreement to pay your rent on time every week and to have no arrears on your account.

You must contact us immediately if you are struggling and we will do everything we can to help you. Our Housing Officers monitor rent accounts every week and will contact you if you miss a payment. They will make a rent arrears agreement with you to help you get back on track. You must not breach this agreement.

The Residential Tenancies Board, also known as the RTB, is a public body set up to support and develop a well-functioning rental housing sector. Our remit extends to the private rental, Approved Housing Body (AHB) and Student Specific Accommodation sectors.

The RTB’s role is to regulate the rental sector, provide information and research to inform policy, maintain a national register of tenancies, resolve disputes between tenants and landlords, initiate an investigation into conduct by a landlord, and provide information to the public to ensure tenancies run smoothly and no issues arise.
